Move-In Day

Move-In Day! I was so anxious for this day. I spent the nights before making sure I had everything, checking Pinterest for cute dorm ideas, and playing Tetris with all of clothes, trying to magically fit too much stuff in too small of spaces.

For me, the unpacking process it took a long time. Since I flew from Texas to New York, everything was vacuum-sealed and squished into a total of seven suitcases. Some other time in the future, I will make a college essentials list, but with my move in process, assembling things took the most time. The order of how I did things was cleaning everything, assembling things, putting clothes into drawers, my desk, my wall decor, and then making my bed. I made my bed last because though it is the easiest thing to put together, we put a lot of things on the bed while we were unpacking, and I didn't want my bedding to be covered in different substances(hehe I like things very clean😬).

Here's how my side of my room looked before:

As you can see, it's a small space so we had to put a lot of things onto the bed. The process was honestly stressful and a little tense. My parents were so awesome in helping me move in but we were all extremely tired and hungry so towards the end it got a little heated, but they honestly are responsible for all of the super convenient things that I have in my room.

As you can tell, purple is my favorite color. The artwork was made by my talented friends. I’m excited for all the new adventures!
